thats some serious torque when you think about it

 

makes you wonder how high the injector pumps are turned up on those things

Ive been to the truck rodeo (Rodeo du camion) in Notre dame du nord, Quebec several times when I lived in North bay, Ontario (1.5 hrs away)

They may look slow but it is quite the steep hill they are hauling up (the main street in town) and are hauling lifts of lumber somewhere around 65000 pounds or something. Once they reach the top it is surprising how quick they are moving. And they do drags with just the tractors too, no trailers.

 

There is also a pretty good show/shine, light show, live music, small midway, camping, partys, and no hassle for walking around drunk or drinking.

LoL true. Kinda funny, but that truck was only about 3 months old at the time, and the young guy driving it in the video is probably a lawyer by now. He was going to law school and driving truck for his dad over the summers, the dad bought him that truck as peterbilt was ending the 379 line, and i know for sure that was the last 379 produced in that colour scheme.

Oh and judging by the amount of exhaust.. they CLEARLY do not need to adhere to California SMOG standards..  <_<  -_-

Oh yes they do, but for a race they can what they want.

I remember seeing a video where the truck shot flames out the exhaust between gears.

The guy in the black peterbilt in that video is the dad of the kid with the tan/maroon peterbilt in the video I posted. The black one is sweet, has those spinners of floaters or whatever wheels they are called.

Any idea what kind of $$ those guys are putting into these truck??  I would bet the spinners alone are a few grand for that size rim and the fact there probably low production.
